Safwan was in great form as he beat Kaanav Jain 11-0 in the final. Viransh Chopra claimed the bronze medal by defeating Gaurav Kansaria 11-4 in the third-place playoff. In the semifinals as well, Safwan won 11-0.

Safwan A won the Men’s Singles Under-18 category title at the 7th Tamil Nadu State Level Championship Pickleball at the Picklers Arena in Chennai on Sunday. Safwan was in great form as he beat Kaanav Jain 11-0 in the final. Viransh Chopra claimed the bronze medal by defeating Gaurav Kansaria 11-4 in the third-place playoff.

Earlier, Safwan beat Viransh 11-0 in the semifinal, while Kaanav won a thrilling contest against Gaurav 11-8. With the IPA Nationals scheduled in October-November, Safwan will benefit immensely from winning the PWR 100 tournament.

The event, held over two weekends – 6th and 7th September, and 13th and 14th September – is a marquee fixture in IPA’s calendar, marking a significant step in pickleball’s rise in southern India.
